THE KKK AS SHOWN IN MOVIES

The Ku Klux Klan over time has been shown in the movies , in these we can see how the people of the time accepted or rejected the Klan; so here we are going to teach different movies in which the kkk is represented as shows the relationship of the klan and the population then.

Set in the 30s, this film tells us about the value of friendship, but also teaches us how hard was the life for the womens of the time. In the movie we can see male chauvinism and racism of the population and even cannibalism still existed in those years.

The Andrew Show is a serie of videos issued since 2009 by the KKK in which two blond children about 9 and 10 years were talking about "their" views on issues related to race and religion to children of their age. The truth is that the videos can clearly notice how Andrew Pendergraft actually read some sort of sign or telepronter behind the camera.

Forrest Gump “ and Civil Rights in the USA

There are a lot of films which tell us about Civil Rights' History in United States but there's one film that highlights because of creativity to express the facts. The most highlighted themes, which we can analyze, are:

-Forrest , in love with Jenny, defends her against different men with whom she went out, thinking

they were mistreating her, and he was right.

-Jenny had run away several times from Forrest, confused by her feelings. One day, Forrest dares to ask her to marry, but she believes it would be very risky because they could end their friendship of many years.

-That day, Jenny gets pregnant. The baby was Forest's. She couldn't stand being without Forrest and therefore, we believe that she carried away a bit of him with her.Years later, Forrest was telling the story of his life to an interested elderly woman on a bench. He was waiting for the bus because he received a letter from Jenny where she said that he visited her. Forrest was told that they had had a child and she had a serious illness that couldn't be cured. Days later, Jenny died and Forrest devoted his life to his child's education . In addition, he never abandoned Jenny, he would visit her in the cemetery to narrate his exploits.

In the Vietnam War , Forrest's Lt. was injured on the battlefield. Its principles say that he would rather die than live disabled. Despite its continuing insults to Forrest, he did not leave him alone and carried him with the rest of their companions who had been rescued. Although his legs were amputated, and he hated Forrest because of what happened, Forrest helped him how to live with it.

The March on Washington

One day of August 1963, concretely 28, thousands of American people fought fiercely to get their long yearned Civil Rights.

This huge uprising was integrated by a lot of groups, mostly by black people. Imagine that you are a black person and are going to the march. Of course, you would be around 16 maybe 17 years old. You leave your home in Arizona (a very racist state at that time), with unknown people shouting, singing, dancing and making noise, on a bus or train. We're sure that you will have arrived at Washington DC a little sick, because thinking about conditions which black people had to live, buses wouldn't be very hygienic and comfortable. So you get there and then what do you do?

Obviously, we would have participated because we adore people who have the courage to face police, politics and the Army's power without any type of fear. If we had taken in part it, we had fought to get our freedom and rights too. Getting there, the first thing which we would have done it would be join other groups to make as much noise as possible. We've never heard any songs by Bob Dylan although we were listening “Only a Pawn in Their Game”, which is about Mississippi’s judicial racist system and it was sung on the march, and we believe that, from a musical point of view, it’s very bloody but if this worked to get Civil Right we’re not anyone to judge it. As everybody knows, Martin Luther King gave the most known speech, which is “I have a dream”. We don’t understand why it worked because if you remove the form that he pronounced, so emotional and self-confident, would it keep on being as special as we imagine?

We believe the speech '' I Have a Dream '' was a very important in the march, but, it is too long and it repeat a lot of things. When we saw it for the first time, we notice that it's very emotional and it transmits us many feelings which make us to feel in their shoes. Personally, we would have removed some parts so that it wouldn't be boring too.

THE KU KLUX KLAN

Ku Klux Klan is the name adopted by several right-wing organizations in America,which were created in the nineteenth century. They mainly promoted xenophobia, and the supremacy of the white race, homophobia, anti-Semitism, racism and anti-communism. Often, these organizations have resorted to terrorism, violence and intimidation as burning crosses, to oppress their victims.

In the 50's  segregation was accepted in the South. Furthermore, the "separate but equal" was only a half true. Blacks enjoyed little freedom in these times of little racial stability. In 1954, the Supreme Court of the United States outlawed racial segregation in schools, and this decision triggered a wave of protests in the south. Across southern emerged independent klanes. The ancient sacred ceremony "burning cross" became the preferred by the Klan rite to sow terror, but they also murdered and assaulted people.

In 1960, the Klan was born to be the longest of all, when the "Klanes States of America" association was created. Alongside the figure of Martin Luther King appears as an advocate for racial rights and, of course, was despised and convirtiose public enemy No. 1 of these people. The city of Birmingham, Alabama, became the main focus of violence, and the Klan was helped and protected by the State Police making a "blind eye" to the beatings and killings.

In the early 80's many Klansmen changed their robes by paramilitary uniforms, with their training camps to work out in the "shooting black", but fortunately the state intervened and could be dissolved. It was the end of the Ku Klux Klan and the White Power, but will always be there, lurking, as they always were cowards. Unable to determine the number of victims; murdered, mutilated, slaughtered, burned, threatened. the list is endless. Fanaticism is still present "below the surface" eager to jump at any time against racial equality, although they've lost the battle.

Although we believe there are currently no organizations like the KKK we're wrong , these organizations still exist and there are more than we think . In my opinion if we were all aware that racism is bad there would be a less retrograde global level that we have today.

"Focus"-Ariana Grande

We're really Ariana Grande's fans and we love a lot of her songs. This songs, "Focus", doesn't fall behind although, in our opinion, it's no so special. It's another song like any other.

In the video, we can see our Ariana Grande with provocative poses that we really love, a part from his obviously loud voice. These poses mimic the letter because one characteristic thing in her songs is his diva behaviour which we adore of course. For example in these photos:

It's too funny for us seeing her pouting with her well made-up and fleshy lips.

The lyrics of the song are too simple although they are very catchy. Almost all the time the song says"focus on me, fuh, fuh, focus on me" and if we had to choose our favourite part of the song, it would be the beginning because we're not comfortable when a song says the same so many times. That's it:

We like the choreography of "Focus" but it could too simple thinking about Ariana Grande's song and the money which New Yorkers invest to do this song.

We would include more movement in the dance, nevertheless, the best choreography's part, which we really love, is the chorus, because that's where we see more rhytmical dance and we think that concordance between the song and the choreo is so important.

We don't like too much the costumes she wears in the early part of the song, although we can't forget the shining-stars suit which is so beautiful and well-choosed for the song. The other suits are absurd and we would add something that captures the attention of her fans.

To conclude this review we only want to say that the star lenses, which she wears on the song, were an amazing detail.

Genital mutilation

25th November, "the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women"; a little bit long title, don't you think? We're not going to talk about this because it is a problem that we are aware of at least or we should have to know. We're going to focus on "Genital mutilation" because not everybody knows about that.

In some less developed countries in Africa, the Midlle East and some others, this practice carry on practicing. It is thouth that origin is in Egypt although it can be a religion tradition such as Islam.

Genital mutilation can be male or female. We're not going to get into details but men can get castration or circuncision and women can get a female genital mutilation. Most of theme are traditions to go through infancy. 

We think that 25th November has to change that name and putting in place "the International Day against the violence" because there is violence everywhere inflicted either men, women, animals,..., and this is unbearable.

The Scouts

1)What is Scouting?

Scouting is an educational movement for young people that is present in 165 countries, with approximately 30 million members around the world. Scouting has no distinction of social class, gender, age or religion. Scouting in all human and civic values are promoted and teaches you to see the world from another point of view different from others.

2)Who founded it?

Lord Robert Baden-Powell founded the Scout Movement in 1907 in the UK. This year, to test some ideas, he brought together 20 young people from different social classes in a week-long camp, beginning on 1 August on the island of Browsea position in Poole, Dorset, England. This experiment went very well and led to the grown of Scouts.

3)which is their symbol?

Its symbol is the “Lis Flower”, better known as the flower of the lily. The three leaves (or petals) recall the "three parts of the Scout Promise" as the "Three Fingers Seña Scout". Your 2 stars out of 5 points each representing the 10 laws Scouts and knot that ties them all symbolizes the worldwide brotherhood.

5)Let's talk about traditions:

Scouts Promise

The Totemnization The new name is given to a person within the Scouts, this represents the animal that the person that are opting for the Totem

are identificate.

The left hand grip: This greeting means that the hearts of the two people who are waving are united.

Wood Badge: Badge that is given to the Scouters that have passed training courses.

The fraternal chain: Farewell to the Scouts represent their union as whole group

I've been in the Scouts for 7 years; they are like a second family to me. With them I learned many things. I have learned to overcome my fears and also to be always ready to act and be a better person. In the Scouts I feel that I can do the impossible. Among this group of friends I have learned to be myself;

They mean everything to me. Sometimes I think about what my life would be without Scouting... Would I be the same person inside? I do not think so.

"Frozen" film becomes gay to children

Do you remember "Frozen"? When people hear "Frozen" the first thing they think about is "Let it go" the most popular song of the film.

As you know this film was oriented to a child audience. But Church autorities believe this film becomes "gay" to children. Let's explain why.

Elsa was a lonely person; it means she was different and she can't wait anymore to say what she really is; supposedly a lesbian; and she doesn't care, because of this Can't hold it back anymore and the cold never bothered me anyway. But the best part is Let it go... because this invites you "to get out of the closet".

The Hunger Games

Have you ever seen Hunger Games? If you haven't, we would advise you to watch it. If you want to know anything about the history, here you are!

Hunger Games

Katniss Everdeen, a 16-years-old girl from District 12, volunteers for the 74^th Hunger Games to protect his sister, Primrose. The selected man was Peeta Mellark, a Katniss’ known. Cinna, Katniss’ stylist, becomes her in the girl on fire,

to get sponsors’ attention, and so getting survive at games. Katniss and Peeta will fight against the others tributes, pretending they are boyfriends.

Catching Fire

Afterwards Katniss’ challenge during the 74^th Hunger Games, districts start to rebel, because of this, the Capitol get angry. The president Snow order her to calm the districts because this wasn’t a challenge, this was a token of love for Peeta. But this wasn’t believable and they have to fight again at the 75^th Hunger Games.

Mockingjay Part 1

Katniss is a refugee at the District 13. She is enough worn out by her experiences. She is used by rebels as a tool to join together all districts and fight against the Capitol and the President Snow. Peeta and others were caught by the Capitol afterwards the 15^th Hunger Games.

Mockingjay Part 2

At the Mockingjay part 2; the trailer, we can see a strong girl; Katniss Everdeen. Before she was a girl who fell in love of two different men, but now in this film, she isn’t neither a confused girl nor a mentally ill girl. She wants to find Snow’s dead. This will originate a war between the Capitol and the 13 districts of Panem.

And finally as Finick Odair said “Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the seventy sixth hunger games”.

OTHER CULTURES: JAPANESE CULTURE: MANGA AND ANIME

1-DIFERENCES BETWEEN MANGA AND ANIME:

The manga is a printed product , just as comics and although the word is generally used to refer to Japan 's own creations within the country it is named with the same term both eastern and western comics. Unlike the classic comics, manga is a means in itself, covering both fantastic and realistic stories, and with very different themes, able to capture the public of all ages, sex or religion.

The anime, meanwhile, is the animated way of representing a story. As well as cartoons or animated short films. In to the picture even further is common narrative or graphic content to highlight the musical, It is in the opening and ending of each episode one of the points that never go unnoticed.

2-WHAT IS THE BOND THAT UNITES THEM?

The link between the two formats is very strong, and 

there is constant adaptation of manga anime or vice versa, which could somehow justify the confusion.

And as the light novels have manga, anime has serialized the OVA, or "Original Video Animation," which are film versions of the anime.

3-A BEAT OF HISTORY

The manga and anime in Japan has formed generations, since the mid-50s' to present time.They are as universal as any other art and not far behind against any socio-economic or political change. Manga and anime are always present in Japanese society, they have spruing from the change in mentality that exisists in every age. Since Astroboy to what is, today, Naruto or One Piece, anime and manga have influenced mostly young people, giving them most of the time positive messages, as the idea of "Faito"
